Attention Shiba Owners,
We’ve recently been contacted by an individual who has found a female Shiba in the Kensington Park area of North Burnaby. Below is his email to us with details about the Shiba and his contact information. We hope to be able to reunite this Shiba with her family.
Below is the email we received from Kyle.
On Friday Oct 17, 2008 at approx 6:00pm I was out with my 2 dogs in Kensington Park (Near Frances st. and Fell ave.) in Burnaby, and I spotted some kids trying to catch a small dog. I asked them about the dog and they indicated that she was not theirs, and that they had just found her wandering around. As she was too quick for the boys, I used my dogs to lure her in and grabbed her myself. I called all of the local vet clinics and shelters to inquire if anyone was looking for her, and also to report that I had her. I went to the Vet at the Kensington Mall and there we checked for a microchip and tattoos, but unfortunately she has neither. As the SPCA was already closed, I waited until Saturday to report her to the Burnaby and Vancouver SPCA offices. They had no missing Shiba reports either.
I find it very strange that no one seems to be looking for this little girl. She is quite adorable and seems to have been very well cared for. As a big dog person, I can certainly say that this small dog has sure grown on me. I really want to reunite her with her family and I appreciate your interest in helping me do that.

If you have any information that can help reunite this dog with her family please call Kyle at the number above or drop us an email.
