Hello everyone!
We had another great Meetup with 47+ Shibas and at least 13 first timers. I hope you all had a good time! We lucked out yet again with the good weather and all the Shibas were on their best behaviour. Even my sometimes grumpy, often on a time-out Koshi was very well behaved! He didn't need a single time-out and got to enjoy the whole Meetup inside the dog park instead of sitting outside tied to the fence. Koshi actually seemed to enjoy himself.
I'd like to give a huge thanks to my friend Dani who was selling tickets for the raffle! She doesn't even own a Shiba but she was more than happy to help me out. She did an outstanding job and raised the most money yet for a gift basket – $300. We ended up raising a grand total of $480 at this Meetup for "Paws for a Cause". Another thank you to everyone who supported the BC SPCA at this meet by buying tickets for the raffle and dog treats.

September 2010 will be Vancouver Shiba's 3 year anniversary!!! I am uncertain at this time if there will be a Meetup for September as I will be very busy preparing for Paws for a Cause. If I'm unable to organize one for that month, I will try to have one in October.
